Sharing the vision of authenticity to help rebuild the local church
The ROGO Foundation and Sandals Church
“For 1,000 years, the Western church’s basic ministry model was premised on the social reality that people would be coming, prepared, and positive…”
But for the first time in recent history
• Church members have become a minority
• Religious identification is down across the board
• The number of practicing Christians is in decline
• Thousands of churches are closing their doors
Where do we fit in?
In 1997 Pastor Matt and his wife Tammy set out to create a church where people could be real with themselves, God and others. From its first meeting in the Brown’s living room with eight people, Sandals Church has since grown to reach more than 25,000+ people digitally each weekend with thirteen locations across the Inland Empire and Central Valley.
From that movement of authenticity the ROGO Foundation was born.
Since 2015 Sandals Church and the ROGO Foundation have completed more than 10 church mergers and helped countless other struggling churches get back on track.
What if we could rebuild the church together?
What if there was a better way to rebuild the church? To help create healthy churches?
The ROGO Foundation focuses on rebuilding the places where people gather and investing in the people that lead them.
How do we do that?
ROGO School was created in 2016 with the vision of developing leaders to support the dynamic growth of Sandals Church. It is a six month leadership development program that draws out the leadership qualities that are already in people, sharpens their skills and develops their character so that they will be the kind of leader that people want to follow.
We exist to help churches overcome challenging seasons and revitalize some that are on the road to closure. By implementing our proven ministry model, we see increased attendance, professions of faith, and baptisms. With this, we ensure that each revitalized location will thrive and continue on for generations to come.
Leading and growing a local church is hard. We want to share what we have learned to benefit any church that would want the help. We also help connect church leaders with their counterparts at Sandals Church to help them understand how to implement new strategies to resolve the challenges they are currently facing.
